John's Cage is an installation created as a part of the show 'iI,' produced by the Shakespeare's Wild Sisters' Group and directed by my college mentor, Yingchuan Wei. As a piece of experimental theatre, on which I also did sound design, it also features installation works by the various designers and collaborators on the show. John's Cage is one of these creations.

Inspired by the idea of chance operation as well as Cage's own performance of his Water Walk, this installation hopes to encapsulate the spirit and dynamic of John Cage into the body of 'John' the Hexbug®. (Coincidentally, 'John' is also a euphemism for cockroach in modern-day Taiwan slang).
